Production Coordinator

About the Job

You’ve been looking for a few things in your next job: variety, the chance to creatively problem solve, travel, and an opportunity to make an impact on a well-established (and still growing!) company.

You love to work with your hands, use tools, and do physical work. Keeping active in your job is important to you. But, you’ve also got a knack for technology, strong computer skills, and a strategic mind.

Your blend of skills is unique and valuable, and you know it. Now, all you need is a team that will value your input and give you the freedom to show initiative and take the lead.

With us, you can have all that and more, as Redrick Technologies’ new Production Coordinator.

About Us:

At Redrick Technologies, we create custom workstations for radiologists, so they can be more productive, healthy, and comfortable. Through ergonomic design, we reduce pain, fatigue, and risk to their health.

We’ve been in business for 17 years, making a difference for customers all across North America. Now, you can too.

Production Coordinator:

As our new production/installation coordinator, your main goals are: to manage production and installation of our workstations, and document and improve our procedures.

You’ll process orders as they come in, make sure they are in queue for production, prepare all materials for each workstation’s assembly, and handle shipping coordination and documentation.

You’ll keep production running smoothly, by doing the hands-on assembly work and preparing products for shipping.

Smooth production relies on solid inventory and purchasing management, and that will be a major part of your role. You’ll manage our inventory, ensuring that we have the materials and tools that we need when we need them, and that we’re not overstocked. You’ll also handle purchasing of inventory.

A solid understanding of production logistics will come in handy here, as will your technical aptitude, as you use a variety of software (Excel, QuickBooks) to manage these processes.

You’ll coordinate, supervise, and perform installations of workstations for customers.

At our busiest, you might travel up to three times per month, for about two to three days at a time, to do installations. You’ll manage the process from start to finish – coordinating installation schedules and materials, and handling the installation itself.

You’ll love the opportunity to get on the road, see new places, and meet and serve customers who truly value what we provide.

As we’ve grown, we’ve worked on improving our production and installation processes. Now, you’ll have the chance to refine and document these processes, and make a positive impact on the future of our business.

You’ll love figuring out how we can do things more efficiently, and will take initiative to implement those ideas with the help of your team.  You have a passion for problem solving, and you’ll find plenty of opportunity here to do just that.

Working @ Redrick Technologies:

We value autonomy. Once you’re comfortable here, no one will be looking over your shoulder. You’re organized and driven, so you’ll feel comfortable self-managing.

You’ll have freedom and flexibility to shape your role, and to approach your tasks in a way that works for you, and is productive for our team. There’s very little hierarchy here, which means you’ll get to carve your own place.

Collaboration is our key to success. We value everyone’s ideas, and are respectful of each other’s contributions. We’re always willing to help each other out. We truly feel like family.

With us, you can have a long-term career, have a voice in improving our company, and be satisfied daily by the positive impact you’re making.

The Details:

This is a full-time, permanent position, working mainly in our Mount Brydges location (about 20 km west of London, Ontario). You’ll typically work 8:30 am to 5 pm, but on-site installation hours may vary. You’ll travel occasionally for installations, in Canada and the US. We are looking to bring someone on for early to mid February.

This role offers a competitive salary between $50,000 - $60,000per year, a comprehensive benefits package after 3 months probation, and a company phone. After a year with us, you’ll receive 3 weeks’ vacation.

If you have the following qualifications, you’ll be a great fit:

  • Experience working with tools (cordless drills, screwdrivers, wrenches)

  • Strong computer skills, and experience working with the following programs at an intermediate level: Microsoft Office (Excel), QuickBooks, and/or any kind of logistics software

  • Valid passport, and ability to freely travel to the United States

  • Valid driver’s license, and the ability to rent a car

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

And if you have any of the following, it would be an asset:

  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing/warehouse environment doing assembly, or some kind of physical work

  • Experience handling inventory management in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with shipping coordination and documentation

  • Forklift training (we will provide training)
