You’ll also need to be solution-oriented, and forward-thinking. You’re someone who can account for all problems and risks before they happen, and have multiple solutions prepared for any situation in your pursuit of high-quality, on-time production. 

Practically speaking, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Continuous improvement of processes, systems, and procedures in areas such as production, quality assurance, and work flow. 

  • Coaching, mentoring, and supervising a team of 15-20 direct reports, and overseeing a total of 100+ employees per shift. 

  • Schedule and plan resources and production time. 

  • Work closely with other senior managers to implement strategic initiatives. 

  • Communicate effectively with fellow managers and production workers. 

  • Ensure that customer specifications are adhered to with a high degree of precision. 

  • Maintain a safe work environment for all, complying with the Ontario Occupation Health and Safety Act, Cosmetica Health and Safety policies, and Safe Work Instructions. 

  • Coach and develop staff to reach their full potential in support of company growth potential.

Working Here 

Cosmetica is growing rapidly, and that means opportunities to learn and build your resume with a significant project implementation. 

This is one year contract, working at our 270,000-sq. ft. Scarborough campus, where our entire team, state-of-the-art laboratories, and production facility are located. This is a full-time permanent position, with a highly attractive first year salary, commensurate with experience. We have opportunities available across all 3 shifts, and offer shift premiums on top of salary. We also have an excellent benefits plan, and vacation. 


  • Experience working as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment. 

  • Experience leading and motivating a team of up to 20 direct reports, with oversight of 100+ employees. 

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 

  • Experience working with ERP or MRP systems ie. SAP. 

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, ideally in engineering. 

  • Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (i.e. pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, or related product) is an asset. 

  • Comprehensive training in Lean Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, and other continuous improvement processes.
