Our client, one of Canada’s trusted and respected Engineering Consulting firms, is currently looking to add a Vice President for their Building Sciences group located in Mississauga, Canada.  Their workplace would be described as friendly, nurturing and fun; promoting employee and group interaction in a relaxed and casual setting, which has allowed the organization to be honored as one of Canada’s best workplaces.

Our client strives to provide solution based consulting and training in the Environment, Health and Safety field with hundreds of dedicated staff located strategically across the country.  Reporting to the CEO and CAO, the successful V.P of Building Sciences will bring over 15 years of consulting services experience and a proven background in the building sciences sector.  You will eventually be responsible for leading and directing a team of more than 50 people while mentoring, guiding and developing all levels of staff.  You will be responsible for directing growth strategies through effective sales and marketing initiatives for existing clients as well as new ones.  You will be responsible for coordination of projects providing customer based solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.  Your years of experience within the consulting industry will be paramount to the success of the group as you lead activities for areas such as design services, investigations, Building Condition Assessments, Contract Administration and Inspection Services, Environmental Site Assessments, Building Envelope Investigations as well as mechanical, structural and electrical areas of the Building Sciences group.

In order to be a suitable candidate for this role, you must have:

• 
  
  15 years of Consulting experience within the building science industry


• 
  
  Have proven experience leading and directing large teams and projects


• 
  
  Strong business development and sales experience


• 
  
  Professional Engineering designation, in good standing in Ontario or Canada


• 
  
  Institutional, commercial and industrial facilities experience

 Also:

• 
  
  Additional areas of expertise of interest to our client include: Energy Management, Air and Noise Pollution as well as emerging knowledge surrounding Green House Gas implications.

  Compensation will be competitive based on market surveys and will commensurate with experience.
