VP of Application Development



Reporting directly to the CEO this position will be responsible for managing, hiring, mentoring and coaching all Develops. Help plan, deploy and monitor all aspects of Information Technology Systems

 

Responsibilities

 

·The VP, IT collaborates with senior staff to ensure that technology systems, frameworks and processes are aligned

·Ensures that technology is leveraged as a key enabler of the Corporate Strategy

·Embraces and enables the highest potential of both the Association and its people.

·Accountable for all systems are continually deployed and maintained to meet current and future needs.

·Develops and manages IT capital and operational budgets

·Maintains strong working relationships with key external service providers and vendors

·Maintains and enhances the Information Technology infrastructure for multiple sites across the GTA Develops processes and systems to ensure data integrity and risk assessment.

·Oversees Development and Maintenance of IT Security Systems

 

Qualifications:

 

· Strategic mindset and ability to develop, inspire and implement a change management agenda and technology vision

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Creative and innovative in the use of new technologies, including but not limited to current social media offerings

·Able to be a forward thinker and bring new ideas to the organization, while also able to balance the need to be nimble/responsive and adaptable to new opportunities with the requirement to ensure controls and security, as well as effectively handle tactical challenges

·Results focused IT leader with a strong track record of meeting strategic technology targets and deliverables amidst operational demands 

·The ideal candidate has proven leadership and people management skills demonstrated through motivating and directing dedicated, high performance teams and experience collaborating and coordinating the work of diverse, cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams.

·Strong IT organizational design skills, and able to assess the current structure and envision a future structure more closely aligned with the business.

·The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to solve conflict creatively with multiple stakeholders regarding conflicting demands for time and resources using ingenuity and flexibility.

Must have Application Development experience
