Role Type: 4 Permanent Positions
Responsibilities:
• Consulting (Implementation)
• Assist with installing and configuring software
• Assist with building relational and OLAP databases, and writing and testing calculations
• Extract, transform and load data into both OLAP and relational databases
• Verify data loaded into OLAP and relational databases
• Build and test templates and reports
• Document and communicate project status regularly to the Service Manager
• Client Relations
• Resolve customer issues in a timely and responsive manner
• Escalate customer issues that are unresolved to the Service Manager
• Build and foster strong client relationships during the implementation; gaining credibility and trust
• Assist other departments on as needed basis including performing software quality assurance and product support tasks
Skills Required:
• Post secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance/Business or equivalent experience
• Experience in building relational databases (MS SQL and/or Oracle) and/or OLAP databases (MS Analysis Services and/or Oracle Essbase preferred)
• Ability to write basic programming code to facilitate calculations and reporting
• Ability to create complex formulas, macros and sophisticated formatting in Microsoft Excel
• Strong problem solving ability
• Must have a good understanding of Financial Reporting Concepts
• Experience in project management and leading teams will be an asset
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, terms and processes will be an asset
• Experience with budgeting and financial consolidation considered an asset
• Experience in building and using OLAP databases considered an asset
