Organizational Change Management Specialist

Our client is seeking an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist for a one year contract in Calgary. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of change strategies and plans for assigned projects based on OCM approach and methodology, advocate and support the OCM methodology by acting as an expert and facilitator to those involved in change projects and lead Change Management efforts on Enterprise-wide projects.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Support project team in integrating change management activities.
  • Work with stakeholder groups to formulate project specific plans and activities.
  • Independently develop a set of actionable and targeted change management tactics.
  • Identify potential people impacts, risks and potential points of resistance and develop plans to mitigate and/or address concerns.
  • Be an active and visible coach to leaders who are change sponsors.
  • Coach on all levels of complexity projects on an ad hoc basis.

Skills/ Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of broad business experience including change leadership roles on large projects.
  • Deep knowledge, understanding and experience in organizational change management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to think and act strategically while operating with sufficient granularity to gain an in depth understanding of the activity and issues.
  • Ability to deliver tactical components of the change plans (communications, training, etc.).
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization, from the field to executive leadership; has adept relationship management and credibility building skills.
  • Organized to deal with multiple competing projects and demands.
  • Exceptional and concise communication skills – both written and verbal – for all audiences and across a variety of communication vehicles.
  • Project Management knowledge and experience.
  • Innovation and creativity.
