EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

  • At least 6 years' experience in Production Engineering, Program Management and/or Project Engineering roles in an automotive injection moulding environment.
  • Experience liaising between R&D/Product Development and Manufacturing to introduce new products.
  • Experience with APQP and PPAP.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a division of a global automotive manufacturer, is currently searching for a New Product Introduction Engineer for their Southwestern Ontario facility, located about 45 minutes from Windsor.

This position will report to the Plant Manager and will work closely with the Product Development Team to support new product launches. The Production Engineer will develop and create project plans for manufacturing related activities in partnership with tooling, engineering, quality, purchasing, and logistics to ensure product launch meets targets and objectives. This role will lead manufacturing feasibility studies, coordinate production and manufacturing personnel, support sales and R&D through RFQs, quotes and costing information, and recommend DFM changes.

This role requires a highly organized individual with the ability to oversee and manage large projects successfully. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams across the plant.

COMPENSATION:

$80,000 - $95,000

EDUCATION:

Degree or Diploma in a related discipline.
