Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a strong candidate to drive FP&A for this $150m revenue  /  750 people software development organization.  Are you an experienced Senior Financial Analyst who has expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis? Reporting to the VP Finance, the Analyst will be involved in budget development, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis and KPIs. We are looking for someone who has strong business partnering skills and has experience creating and developing strong relationships with professionals in all levels of an organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in designing and implementing business strategy.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning & analysis under the direction of VP Finance
    • 3 year and Annual Operating Plan
    • Forecasting
    • Actual vs. Forecast/Plan analysis
    • Collecting and reporting critical financial and operational metrics
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial forecasting
  • Special projects
  • Other tasks as necessary


  • 5-10 years experience in a similar position
  • Self-starter and leader that thrives in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Comfortable working independently and in delivering tasks end to end with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi task and shift priorities as needed to meet tight deadlines
  • Software industry experience an asset
  • Proficient in Excel (pivots, formulae, etc) and Powerpoint
  • Strong Essbase (Hyperion) skills; ability to build forecasting and planning models with multicurrency and multi company components
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy
