The successful candidate will join our growing Oil Sands Division. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direction and support on multiple aspect of our Oil sands projects. It is expected the candidate will be self-motivated, and will demonstrate strong time management and communication skills. Duties will include but are not necessarily limited to:Duties will include but are not necessarily limited to:
• Involvement in activities that contribute to the management of large oil sands projects. Projects will vary and will include Environmental Impact Assessments as well as other projects in support of the development, operation and closure of oil sands projects
• Participation in a team environment, working closely with other staff and helping to develop less experienced staff
• Work with and provide support to other members of the Oil Sands Management Division in sharing project management, project completion and client service responsibilities
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
• University degree in environmental management or a similar field
• Minimum of five years’ experience related to project work, with at least three years of project management experience
• Ability to carry out project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements as well as integration of project technical teams, as directed by the Project Manager or Project Director
• Willingness to work as one of the Oil Sands team on project development and completion activities
• Strong interpersonal, communication and key judgment skills
