Call Centre Representative - Individual Products Travel
FUNCTION: Under the guidance of the Individual Products Travel Manager, the Call Centre Representative is responsible for responding to incoming calls from customers who have expressed an interest in Alberta Blue Cross’ emergency medical travel plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the sale and promotion of the various emergency medical travel plans. • Responds to telephone inquiries and correspondence from Individual Products Travel members. • Follows up customer inquiries to ensure complete handling of the caller's requests. • Prepares correspondence and amendments relating to each individual customer. • Makes suggestions for ways of improving work flows and processes. • Performs other duties as required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • Requires superior customer service skills. • Experience in the travel industry or call centre environment would be an asset, but not required. • Must possess effective listening and problem solving skills. • Must be able to convey and comprehend product detail to meet customer needs. • Thrives in a busy environment. • Capable of dealing effectively with the public and fellow employees. • Must be able to cope under pressure and be well organized with strong attention to detail. • Must have a pleasant telephone manner. • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products is also a must.
