BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / SALES MANAGER – MINING SECTOR – WESTERN CANADA Experience selling machinery / equipment to the Mining Sector is necessary. Base salary of $100K + Commission. NO CAP ON EARNINGS. Regina, Saskatchewan Location. Description: Our client has developed expertise in the design and production of equipment and machinery. Their international customers engage them because of their expertise in “Project Based, Engineered to Order” business and their reputation for quality, speed and responsiveness. People have time to get involved in the community and spend time with their family. Role: · To establish business in the mining sector and from major projects in the Prairie Provinces. Introduce the company to Engineering Procurement Construction and Management companies (EPCMs), mining companies and other major corporations in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba and make them aware of our engineering, machine designing and manufacturing capability. Duties: · Develop intimate relationships with key decision makers among the EPCMs, mining companies and major corporations. · Develop action plans and customer contacts schedules to ensure intimate development of customer relationships. · Work in conjunction with Project Managers, Estimators and engineering staff in preparing bids for the supply of equipment and services to the above companies. · Work with Sales Manager to develop sales strategies and establish gross margin targets. · Fully utilize and update customer profiles or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. · Work with Project Managers and internal organization as required to close sales. · Prepare presentations and proposals. · Prepare customer status reports, including activity, closing, follow up, and prospects reports as required. · Provide quotations to customers with support of Project Managers. · Represent the company at industry trade shows and conventions. · The Business Development Manager reports to the Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
